Community

Rooted in community

CME Landscape Corp started as a small, door-to-door service in South Gate, and we stay invested in the neighborhoods we work in. Here's where we give our time.

Monica Reyes started CME with $4,000, a used pickup truck and a dream of owning her own business. She shares that story at community events and local schools to show others, especially women, that a successful business can be built from the ground up.

Our crew is local, and we treat them as familia: steady work, fair pay, and a helping hand connecting them with city and county services when they need it.

Mi Hija Foundation

An advocate for every family

Mi Hija, Spanish for "my daughter," is the foundation Monica Reyes is building to give individuals and families an advocate when they need help navigating the programs and services that can improve their lives: health care, financial assistance, mental health support, housing and food.

The idea comes from Monica's own life. As the daughter of Mexican parents, she grew up as her family's helping hand, and today she is a caregiver for family members in South Gate. That experience showed her how many resources go unused simply because the process is hard to understand.

Neighbors already reach out to Monica through local churches, schools and word of mouth for help finding food, financial support, medical care and government programs. The Foundation will turn that into a structured program: a personal, confidential assessment for each family, a plan, and regular follow-up until their goals are met.

Every client who works with CME helps support the Foundation's work.

On the course with the Latina Golfers Association

CME volunteers alongside the Latina Golfers Association, which opens the game of golf to Latinas and young women. Together we've hosted events at Pico Rivera Golf Club and Los Amigos Golf Course in Downey, where our team brings what we know best: planting water-wise gardens and supporting golf days that welcome new players to the course.
